Accessibility Statement
Baldwin Legal Group, PLLC is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, speech recognition, or other assistive technology. People facing a DUI charge need clear information quickly, and that should not depend on how someone browses the web.
Standard we aim for
We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines are the recognized international standard for web accessibility and are the benchmark referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
What we have done
- Text and background colors are measured against WCAG contrast ratios, including our legal disclosures and disclaimers
- The site can be operated by keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element
- A skip link lets keyboard and screen reader users bypass the navigation
- Pages use proper landmarks and heading structure so assistive technology can navigate them
- Every image carries descriptive alternative text, and form fields carry programmatic labels
- Page content does not depend on JavaScript in order to be readable
- Motion and animation are reduced automatically for visitors whose devices request that
- Text resizes with your browser or device settings, and the page does not block zooming
Why there is no accessibility toolbar on this site
We have deliberately chosen not to install a third-party accessibility overlay or widget. Organizations that represent and include people with disabilities have consistently reported that these tools can interfere with the screen readers and other assistive technology people already use and rely on, and that they mask problems rather than fix them. We believe the more respectful approach is to build accessibility into the site itself and to let your own tools work the way you have set them up.
Known limitations
Accessibility is ongoing work rather than a finished state. Some content on this site is provided through third parties, including embedded forms and scheduling tools, and we do not control their code directly. Where we find barriers in those components we raise them with the vendor and look for accessible alternatives. If something on this site does not work for you, we want to know.
Tell us about a barrier
